Bradley K. Meyer For three years, I saw the world through scratched lenses. Everything beautiful & hideous was only imperfectly so- Like nearby hills & run-down dogs concealed in silver mist- no longer. Beautiful, is again enchanting Hideous, is again gut-wrenching & the silver mist settles in by mid-morning. Maybe this time around, I’ll dust them, inspect them for grease & mites & imperfections with a loupe like diamonds, daintily tuck them in their case at night as though they were a pair of priceless Fabergé’s... I chuck them on the nightstand. |
