Cursive
Leah Tieger Mrs. Kennedy, no relation, put alphabet charts on the wall of our second grade classroom. She came to class without her makeup and applied it with the laminated and looping vowels behind her. She was the sort of woman who put on her face, so we didn’t know who she was until she finished. She had the same eyes and mouth like we have the same letters, and we learned to make new ones out of curves and paint. One time she showed us a copy of the Constitution and told us all about the founding fathers. Their cursive is everywhere. No one can read it. |
