An Encyclopedia of Everything We've Touched
Mariel Fechik Every dream I have is you, a plum pitted and soft, a bear on a cave wall, Sam Cooke playing on repeat. Every open curtain a shaft of light to bathe in. Down comforter sweated through. The last time we saw a deer roaming the woods on its own, spotted white in the tail and snapping twigs in the twilight. An apple held in your open palm, lace around a jar. Dusk. Enough kindness to live inside of. |
