Harps and Phones
Maxine Kollar I looked at the fog laying between the houses and the trees and wondered, If we live among the clouds, might we be something more. We fly, low to the ground, in our minivans and on our bikes. Harps are cumbersome so we strum CDs and smart phones. Flowing robes get caught in doors and spokes so we don jeans and shorts. Still dashing about trying to serve and aid. Maybe we are not so removed from Grace. Maybe the trappings were meant as metaphors, But in our ignorance we mistook them for reality And in our reality mistook ourselves. |
